Captain America's brave new teaser: Sam Wilson faces Hulk-sized havoc.
Marvel Studios has just dropped the long-awaited first teaser for Captain America: Brave New World and fans are buzzing with excitement for this next chapter in Phase 5 of the MCU.
This will be Anthony Mackie's big-screen debut as Captain America. He first took on the mantle in the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and now he's on his own adventure in the new trailer, which is packed with both action and political intrigue on par with the series.
Joining Anthony Mackie in this fourth installment are Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross, originally played by the late William Hurt, Tim Blake Nelson returning as Samuel Sterns, Rosa Salazar as Diamondback, Shira Haas as Sabra (a mutant in the comic books), Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, along with Giancarlo Esposito and Colby Lopez (WWE's Seth Rollins) in mystery roles.
The trailer is brimming with excitement, from Sam Wilson's new suit reveal to a long-awaited glimpse of Tiamut (last seen in The Eternals). Fans are treated to a rifle-wielding Giancarlo Esposito, sparking intense debate over whether his character is a hero or a villain. The trailer also teases the terrifying villain "The Leader" and ends with a sneak peek of a very large, red and Hulkish problem. While it remains unknown who the Red Hulk is in this story, comic fans have their theories if the film follows the comics.
Captain America: Brave New World promises to deliver an epic continuation of the legacy with Anthony Mackie donning the shield on the big screen for the first time. With a star-studded cast and a storyline filled with twists, turns, and familiar Marvel faces, this movie is set to be a blockbuster hit. Fans are eagerly anticipating how Sam Wilson will navigate the challenges ahead, especially with the ominous threat of Red Hulk looming large. As the trailer suggests, this new chapter in the Captain America saga will be one for the history books.
Captain America: Brave New World will storm cinemas on February 13, 2025.
