Val Morgan’s FilmFronts Events Celebrate A Hugely Successful 2022, Leading Into A Stellar 2023.

Across the country, team Val Morgan were delighted to bring together our client and agency partners for FilmFronts at the place where the magic happens - the big screen - to celebrate the power of cinema in the light of the huge success of 2022, and to unveil the biggest blockbusters coming to the biggest screen of all in 2023.

Attendees enjoyed trailers for some of the most epic and highly anticipated upcoming blockbusters with a choc top and popcorn in hand - a perfect breakfast substitute!

Titles such as Top Gun: Maverick and Spiderman: No Way Home scored 3rd and 5th place as Australia’s highest-grossing films of all time, further demonstrating the success of 2022. Testifying to the power of cinema is the incredible result of 52.8 million all people admissions to date - and the year is not over yet!

The presenters at each of the events highlighted cinema’s unique ability to reach a plethora of high value, hard-to-reach audiences, including youth, ABs and families with 100% attention and zero wastage.

Cinema cemented itself as the cultural home of youth, with incredibly high skews of youth audiences for select films throughout the year, and 51% of all cinema admissions in 2022 falling within the P14-39 demographic.

Avatar: The Way of Water, releasing on December 15, is set be the biggest cultural event of the year, and is expected to absolutely blow admissions out of the water. The original Avatar, released back in 2009, still remains the highest grossing film of all time within Australia and worldwide, even today.
