The Latest ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer Is Here… And So Are All Your Favourite Villains

Find a more anticipated trailer than Spider-Man: No Way Home, we’ll wait… The Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios co-production releases exclusively to cinema on December 16, and last week, fans were finally treated to the second trailer after months of secrecy, speculation and carrot-dangling from the studios.

The trailer premiered to a packed theatre at an exclusive in-cinema event in Los Angeles, and in its first five days online has racked up over 60 million views online.

Having had his identity as Spider-Man revealed to the world, Peter Parker seeks the help of Doctor Strange to make the world forget his fame and relieve the resulting chaos. However, the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man. Riddled with indecision, Parker bungles the spell and the multiverse is unlocked – unleashing a host of villains from Spider-Man’s past including Green Goblin, Otto Octavius, Sandman, the Lizard and Electro.

With the villains from so many previous iterations of Spider-Man invading the multiverse fans were led to expect appearances from former Spider-Men, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The supposed reprisal of their roles comes after months of rumours and a number of leaked images of the actors on-set. The trailer doesn’t yet reveal their participation, with debate continuing to rage online over whether the images were genuine.

The trailer also unveiled Spider-Man’s sharp new black suit. Adorned in cryptic runes, we can only assume the suit is imbued with some new and unique powers.

The 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe stars Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Jamie Foxx, Jacob Batalon and Zendaya.
