Silver Screen For Black Widow: The Reading Cinemas experience.

Reading Cinemas have given those who live in the western suburbs of Melbourne a taste of the high life, with the opening of Reading Millers Junction. Set in the new Millers Junction shopping precinct of Altona North, the cinema complex boasts six state-of-the-art auditoriums featuring the latest and greatest in comfort and technology.

General Manager of Val Morgan Melbourne Deb Trela and resident movie buff Account Manager Curt Mason visited Reading Cinemas Millers Junction to check out the brand-new setup for a preview screening for Marvel’s latest origin story, Black Widow.

“Arriving at the cinema, a red carpet awaited, welcoming eager patrons into the new cinema complex and leading moviegoers to an exclusive preview screening of Black Widow. The cinema’s interiors are immaculately presented. There are no expenses spared when it comes to the luxe design and decoration, with the cinema the linchpin to $70 million new shopping centre deployment. The fully stocked candy bar awaits at the entryway and features all your favourites including freshly popped popcorn!

Beyond the candy bar, the cinema features a plush waiting area, with leather lounges and trimmed furnishings which really add a sense of class and elegance to your moviegoing experience. The lounge offers a comfortable place to congregate as you wait eagerly for your movie to start or have a chat afterward to deconstruct a mind-blowing movie experience. Another key feature is the delicious hot menu available for all theatres, with crowd-pleasing dishes ranging from pizza to sliders and everything in between.

The brand-new auditoriums feature full recliner seating and the latest in 4K digital projection and sound. The auditorium that I got to experience was one of two Titan Luxe auditoriums, fitted with Dolby Atmos immersive sound and a screen measuring some 20 metres! The sheer size of the screen drew astonished comments from guests throughout the evening. Black Widow was an absolute marvel (get it?) to experience on such a massive scale.

The movie itself is absolutely fantastic, and an amazing bounce back to the big screen for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Packed with laughs, tears, explosions and a general kickass attitude to boot, it is definitely one that you need to experience on the big screen.

A new movie opening and a new cinema complex opening – what more can you want? Whilst lockdowns are in place, one thing is guaranteed – we are all champing at the bit to get back out there and experience movies where they are meant to be seen!
