Monica ‘Drop Em’ Stopins Takes Out Pitch2Punch

Last Friday night, our very own boxing superstar & Senior Account Manager, Monica Stopins took part in a three round boxing match for the Media Industry’s annual Pitch2Punch competition in front of a roaring crowd of 600. We couldn’t be prouder to share that Mon won by unanimous decision!

Over the span of twelve weeks, Mon committed to training a mind-blowing EIGHT times each week. All her hard work clearly paid off, as her incredible technique, reflexes, and composure helped her take out the game - along with the help of her deadly right hook.

Mon shared her experience, and what she enjoyed the most about taking part in Pitch2Punch.

“The most rewarding part of the experience for me was the mental resilience I gained. I feel like I came out of the experience a lot stronger - both physically and mentally. Being able to overcome a lot of challenges I never would have originally thought I could have was incredible - and of course the people that I met - you really become good friends with someone after punching them in the face a few times.”

“What I’ve taken from it the most is how we all came together on this crazy journey, we all had each others’ backs and we really pushed each other so much - it was really such an incredible comradery.”

Since 2013, over 100 incredible Industry Champions have stepped into the ring, entertaining thousands of cheering guests and raising over $150,000 to support positive mental health across our industry, and beyond. This year, all funds raised went towards Batyr, who are a for-purpose preventative mental health charity, created and driven by young people, for young people.
