Lets-a-go: The Val Morgan Popcorn Cup Highlights.

This week, Val Morgan hosted the ‘Popcorn Cup’ for over 120 Mario Kart enthusiasts, transforming the HOYTS LUX Lounge in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter into a colourful wonderland for an agency vs. agency Mario Kart 8 Deluxe racing knockout competition on the biggest screen of all.

32 of the industry’s best gamers put the pedal to the metal after weeks of training and preparation, with players participating in three high-intensity knock-out rounds of races, increasing in difficulty and speed with each round.

The competition was fierce as the Round 1 knockouts saw 32 players reduced to 8 after battling it out on Mario Circuit in the 100cc Grand Prix, with only the winners of each Round 1 race headed through to the semi-finals.
