“I will not be silent.”

Directed by visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott, and written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, The Last Duel is a gripping story of betrayal and vengeance set against the brutality and female oppression of 14th century France.

This historical epic tells the tale of quarrelling lords, whose grievances following accusations of rape, must be resolved in France’s last legally sanctioned duel to the death. Tensions are high, and emotion, pride and honour collide in a story where the truth is of utmost importance.

The subject is all too familiar. Now viewed against the modern backdrop of the ‘Me Too’ movement, the themes presented in this trailer draw poignant parallels to situations we hear play out in the media today.

The film marks the first movie that lifelong friends Damon and Affleck have written together since their Academy Award winning screenplay for Good Will Hunting in 1997.

The Last Duel is in cinemas October 14.

“We should be out there, snacking on bad guys!”

The second trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the sequel to 2018's Spider-Man spin-off Venom dropped this week!

Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as Eddie Brock, who attempts to return to the quiet life and reignite his journalistic career, whilst adjusting to life with the alien symbiote Venom inside him.

Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), a serial killer that Eddie attempts to interview becomes infected with a symbiote himself, revealing Carnage, a terrifying creature that even Venom is a bit reluctant to fight.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage also stars Reid Scott, Michelle Williams, and Stephen Graham. It's directed by Andy Serkis, who is best known for playing Gollum in the Lord of the Rings movie as well as Ulysses Klaue in Black Panther.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is in cinemas October 14.

“You will be representing every little black girl on Earth.”

Fifteen years on from The Pursuit of Happyness, Will Smith continues to tug at our heart strings in his next depiction of unwavering parental love.

Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, King Richard is the tennis pro biopic that sees Smith transform into Richard Williams; the father-turned-coach-turned-mentor who bought the world Venus and Serena. Driven by a clear vision for their future, Richard has a plan that will take his teen girls from the streets of Compton, California to the global stage as legendary icons.

The tear-jerking trailer is filled with inspiring moments but ultimately speaks to the power of family, perseverance, and unwavering belief as a means to achieve the impossible and impact the world.

Following the trailers’ release, the moving drama is already stirring up awards rumours.

King Richard also stars Saniyya Sidney as Venus Williams, Demi Singleton as Serena Williams, Aunjanue Ellis as the girls’ mother Oracene ‘Brandi’ Williams, Tony Goldwyn as coach Paul Cohen and Jon Bernthal as coach Rick Macci.

Venus and Serena executive produced the film alongside their sister Isha Price.

King Richard is in cinemas November 18.

“You picked a real firecracker.”

Starring Lady Gaga as Italian socialite Patrizia Reggiani and Adam Driver as Maurizio Gucci, House of Gucci is bold, camp and thrilling.

Also by Ridley Scott, the crime biopic is adapted from Sara G Forden’s acclaimed non-fiction, ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed’, and details the assassination of Maurizio Gucci and the rise, collapse and resurrection of the family fashion dynasty.

“Money. Family. Power. Betrayal. Sex. Loyalty, Scandal. Ambition. Murder.” The first-look trailer aptly calls out all the themes you can expect from a vicious plotline between the mega-rich.

The powerful cast also features an almost unrecognisable Jared Leto alongside Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek and Jack Huston.

House of Gucci is in cinemas November 25.

“Something’s coming.”

To say a film has been long anticipated may seem a little cliché, but that certainly rings true for fans of the original Ghostbusters franchise. It has been 37 years since the series kicked off and after an underwhelming spinoff in 2016, Ghostbusters: Afterlife – the legitimate sequel to Ghostbusters II – is here.

Following the death of original lead cast member Harry Ramis in 2014, it was unclear if a third instalment with the original cast was going to take place. But in the latest trailer released by Sony Pictures, audiences catch a first glimpse at returnees Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray, with reverent nods to Ramis shaping the storyline.

The sequel features a young cast including Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace and is packed with traditional motifs including Ecto-1, the ghostbusters’ old war wagon and an army of mini Stay Puft Marshmallow Men.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, son of the first two films' director, Ivan Reitman.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is in cinemas December 2.
